Here you will find answers to some of the questions we get. If there's still some questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

 

To where do you deliver skis?

Skiirr.com delivers ski in Austria to the areas in and around:

  • Wagrain

  • Bad Gastein

  • Schladming

  • Zell am See

That includes all the areas with big and small cities where you can stay in the vicinity of the above-mentioned cities. Take a look at this map, that shows the area we deliver skis in.

If you have any doubts whether we deliver to your specific ski destination, or if you have any other questions, please contact us on the chat or write to us on our email ski@skiirr.com, then we will quickly return to you with an answer.

Can we pick up our equipment at your store?

Yes, you can. Our warehouse is situated in Altenmarkt im Pongau, less than 10 minutes drive from Wagrain have a look here.
We would though, very much like to deliver your skis and equipment directly to the address of your holiday spot.

How do I choose the correct ‘Ski package’?

Choosing the correct ‘ski package’ depends on your level of expertise. We offer 6 different ‘ski packages’ and under each ‘ski package’ there is a short and informative text about the ski. For adults we offer 3 different ‘ski packages’:

How do I choose the correct size ski boot?

When booking skis we also ask you to enter your shoe size, if you wish to rent ski boots. Here you just write your normal shoe size. When booking your ski boot, you can also choose ‘wide calfs’ if that’s the case. Just check the box.

What if my ski boots don’t fit?

In case your ski boots doesn't fit, you simply contact us by, either: text, phone, mail or chat. Then we quickly arrange to meet you by your apartment/hotel or by a ski lift, so that you are back on the mountain in no time.

What if I bring my own ski boots? How does that work?

If you’re bringing your own ski boots, we need to know the length of your ski boot in centimetres or millimetres, which you can find on the side, the heel or on the bottom of your ski boot. We need to know the length of your ski boot, in order to adjust the ski binding correctly.

I really feel that I need to watch, touch and try on the equipment before I rent it, what do I do?

Maybe skiirr.com just isn’t the right fit for you. If you love the queue and the smell in the local ski shop, then that’s what you should choose. We offer that you can visit our warehouse, and try on the equipment. But we don’t have a shop with Hestra gloves and Oakley Goggles for you to look at :-)

I feel uncertain about booking my skis with you because you don’t have a shop where I can swap my equipment if it breaks?

How often has it happened to you, or someone that you know, that their equipment has broken? If it breaks, it is often unfortunately so that, that an accident has occurred. If your equipment breaks, you simply contact us by text or phone. Then we will quickly come, and in most cases be with you within an hour.

Why do you need to know my height and my weight?

We need you to enter your height and your weight when booking skis. This way we are able to find the proper length for your skis and adjust the ski binding correctly.

How do I find the right helmet size?

When booking your ski package we also offer, that you can rent a ski helmet. Measure your head with a measuring tape. Place the measuring tape right above your ears, and make sure that the measuring band is placed horizontally on the head. If you are in doubt about two sizes of the helmet, always pick the largest one. Remember that you can adjust all helmets in the back of the ski helmet.

Adult:

  • Extra Small/Small fits a head that measures 52-55 cm

  • Medium/Large fits a head that measures 54-58 cm

  • Large/Extra Large fits a head that measures 59-63 cm

Child:

  • Extra Small fits a head that measures 51-54 cm (age approximately 3-8 years old)

  • Medium/Large fits a head that measures 53-56 cm (age approximately 8-14 years old)

Where do you place my rented equipment?

Normally we place the skis in the ski depot. If there isn’t a ski depot at your hotel or apartment (there always is), we will find a good safe place for your skis and equipment. You will receive a text with a picture of the spot and equipment. This way you will know that the equipment has been delivered, and where it is waiting for you. Now you also have the phone number of the employee from our great skiirr.com team, that delivered your skis. That also makes it easy for you to contact us if you have any questions.
We place name tags on all equipment so that you know what equipment belongs to which person in your group.

If we are a group of people placing an order together, how do we know which skis and equipment belong to whom?

What if I wish to swap skis or equipment?

Simply contact our brilliant staff by text or phone. Then they will in most cases be with you within an hour. You can find all the phone numbers here ‘Contact us’ or here ‘About us’, where you can also find pictures of the people behind skiirr.com. You are also always welcome to write us at ski@skiirr.com

When in the booking process do I write my vacation destination?

When you’ve finished your order for all the persons you wish to rent equipment for, you just push the button ‘Go to checkout’. Now you can see your order summary. Here you enter you enter the address of your vacation destination, where your skis and equipment will be delivered to. If there is anything you think skiirr.com should know about, you simply write it in the ‘comment field’. We read ALL comments.

I have booked my skis online at www.skiirr.com, what now?

Now you can sit back and relax. We deliver your equipment the evening before you arrive at your vacation spot so that you can hit the slopes immediately when you arrive.

What about insurance of the skis?

With skiirr.com all skis are insured, and therefore no extra bill will be added to your order, which normally is the standard when booking skis.

When are your ‘office hours’? When can I reach you?

You can always reach one of us by mail. The people ‘behind’ skiirr.com are pretty much always online. If you need to call us, you can call Jesper Weltström on +4531650808. If he doesn’t answer, text him or leave a message on his answering machine, then he will immediately get back to you. This is a part of being an entrepreneur ;-)
